KINDRED YOUTH

Growing in Faith Together

We believe teens deserve a place where they feel known, valued, and connected. The middle and high school years can be full of change, questions, and growth, and we want Kindred Youth to be a space where students can build friendships, explore faith, and know they belong. Our hope is that every student who walks through our doors experiences the love of God, feels supported by this community, and knows they matter here. Kindred Youth is open to all students in grades 6–12.

Youth Gatherings

Currently, we gather once a month during worship for Youth Small Group, where students build relationships, play games, discuss Scripture, ask thoughtful questions, and explore how faith connects to everyday life.

Beyond Sundays

Throughout the year, we also host special events, fellowship activities, and service opportunities for students to grow in community and deepen their faith together. We encourage students to take on leadership roles within the life of the church and participate in intergenerational service opportunities as part of Kindred’s broader mission.

For all 6th -12th graders, Kindred offers a Youth Small Group that meets once a month during worship. In Youth Small Group, middle and highschoolers share experiences, engage in thoughtful discussions about the Bible, explore ways God is a part of everyday life, play games, and end in prayer.

Once a quarter, we host special events, fellowship activities, and service projects to engage the youth.  We sponsor intergenerational mission projects and we invite our youth to take on leadership roles within the Kindred worship service. These are just a few of the ways we integrate youth into the mission of Kindred Church.

Jesus shows radical hospitality to children. He also lifts up their natural sense of wonder and curiosity as examples for Christians of all ages to follow. The mission of Kindred Youth is to mirror Jesus’ hospitality for middle and high school aged children and to facilitate their spiritual growth.

In everything we do, our goals are that:

  • Families feel our care for them through the inclusive environment we create, our trustworthy manner, and kindness.
  • Every youth experiences the love of God in the way they are welcomed, cared for, and taught about God in age-appropriate ways.
  • Every family and youth feels valued.
