Youth
We all need a place to belong, and that is especially important in the middle and high school years. That’s why we’ve created a safe and fun space for our youth to meet monthly during worship where they can get to know other students in the same stage of life, play games, ask and explore big questions, and engage in interesting discussions about the Bible.
For all 6th -12th graders, Kindred offers a Youth Small Group that meets once a month during worship. In Youth Small Group, middle and highschoolers share experiences, engage in thoughtful discussions about the Bible, explore ways God is a part of everyday life, play games, and end in prayer.
Once a quarter, we host special events, fellowship activities, and service projects to engage the youth. We sponsor intergenerational mission projects and we invite our youth to take on leadership roles within the Kindred worship service. These are just a few of the ways we integrate youth into the mission of Kindred Church.

Jesus shows radical hospitality to children. He also lifts up their natural sense of wonder and curiosity as examples for Christians of all ages to follow. The mission of Kindred Youth is to mirror Jesus’ hospitality for children and to facilitate their spiritual growth.
In everything we do, our goals are that:
- Families feel our care for them through the inclusive environment we create, our trustworthy manner, and kindness.
- Every youth experiences the love of God in the way they are welcomed, cared for, and taught about God in age-appropriate ways.
- Every family and youth feels valued.
